Forthcoming cPanel license price hike and account-based pricing

Dear Customers & Partners,

As you may have already heard, cPanel has announced a sudden massive Cpanel license price increase and a transition to a per-account billing model.

With this change, providers will now be billed on a per-account basis (for both active/inactive accounts), instead of paying a flat, server-wide license fee. This is on top of a higher starting price for the cPanel license.

This new billing model will raise the license cost drastically. It may lead to a whopping 1000% cPanel license cost increase per server and will almost equal the server's hardware costs.

All these pricing changes will be effective on September 1, 2019.

We are now evaluating our business models to cope up with the newly-revised pricing of cPanel. Migration to an alternative control panel solution is being considered as well. 

We'll let you know as we figure out a way to make the transition/price change more smoothly.
